Community Housing Options and Support
1900 Sheppard Transitional Housing Program
Located at 1900 Sheppard Avenue West, this Rent Geared to Income (RGI) program provides up to four years of housing to 27 young families and a range of support services.
Clients must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Young mothers aged 16-24 with full custody of their children (would have had their first child by the age of 19)
- Homeless or under-housed
- On waitlist with Access to Housing Toronto (support with applying if needed)
- Demonstrate a financial need
- Enrolled in a full-time or part-time program (school, work, etc.)
- Demonstrate the ability to live independent
- Willing to participate in case management, monthly check-ins and workshops facilitated by Massey Centre

Young Parent Community Housing Project
Located near Christie Street and St. Clair Avenue West., this program provides transitional and supportive housing for eight young families. The maximum stay is at two years.
Clients must meet criteria:
- Single mothers aged 16-24 years with children birth – six years old
- Single mother must be the primary caregiver of their child(ren) and be actively parenting
- Homeless or under-housed
- Demonstrate a financial need
- On waitlist with Access to Housing Toronto (support with applying if needed)
- Must be working or in school
- Demonstrate the ability to live independent
- Willing to participate in case management, monthly check-ins and workshops facilitated by Massey Centre

Baby and Me: Our Home Program
This program aims to help young mothers find and keep permanent housing at an apartment of their choice in the City of Toronto. The program includes:
- Housing workshops
- Support to search and visit housing listings
- Monthly rental subsidies of up to $800 (while funding is available)
- Referrals to community resources
- Other support services
Clients must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Pregnant or parenting young mother aged 16-24 with custody of their child(ren)
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Status in Canada
- Homeless or under-housed
- Demonstrate a financial need
- Demonstrate the ability to live independently
- Willing to participate in case management, monthly check-ins and workshops facilitated by Massey Centre
