Catherine Wang BSc, MHA

CATHERINE WANG serves as the Vice President, Clinical at University Health Network (UHN). Her portfolio includes executive leadership for the Diagnostic programs comprising of UHN’s Laboratory Medicine Program (LMP) and the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI). JDMI, Canada’s largest academic medical imaging program, is a shared program that spans across UHN, Sinai Health and Women’s College Hospital. Catherine also serves as executive lead for UHN’s Outpatient and Virtual Care strategy.

 

Catherine is appointed to the Department of Medical Imaging, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto as Assistant Professor. She also holds an academic appointment at The Institute for Education Research at UHN as Education Investigator.

 

Earlier in her career, Catherine has held progressive management roles within the rehab, paediatric and acute care sectors. She has served the McGuinty government as the Senior Policy Advisor for Cabinet Office as well as worked for the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care.

 

Her focus throughout her career has been on quality improvement through processes, systems and technology for patients at the hospital and system-level. She is an advocate for women empowerment as well as racial equity and inclusion. Catherine is married with two young children.
