Children Mental Health Week - 2026
May 4-8, 2026: Come Together Toronto
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and understood.
This Children’s Mental Health Week, Abiona Centre is proud to be part of a city-wide movement to strengthen connection, reduce isolation, and support children’s well-being.
Because connection shapes children’s mental health.
Across our campuses, we are bringing children, families, and communities together to create safe spaces where young minds can grow, connect, and thrive. Because when we come together, we create stronger support systems for every child.
Why This Week Matters
Mental health is just as important as physical health—especially in a child’s early years.
The theme “Come Together, Toronto” is a reminder that supporting children’s mental health is a shared responsibility. When families, caregivers, and communities come together, children feel more supported, more confident, and less alone.
This week is about building those connections—through open conversations, shared experiences, and meaningful support.
Why Your Support Matters
Mental health is just as important as physical health—especially in a child’s earliest years.
When families, caregivers, and communities come together, children feel more supported, build confidence, and develop the foundation they need to thrive.
But too many children and families face barriers to care, connection, and support.
Your support helps change that.
What We’re Doing
Throughout the week, our campuses will host programs and activities designed to support both children and caregivers, including:
- Creative arts and self-expression
- Mindfulness and wellness sessions
- Interactive activities for children
- Parent and caregiver workshops
- Community connection opportunities
Each moment of connection helps build stronger, healthier futures for children.
